One left back to NMSU so now I have three.
Brian was here for a week and we really enjoyed having him home. It was too bad we had school and work, but nights (after activities ) were spent with him. The house seems empty with out him.
No sewing has been done this week. Hopefully soon.
Girl Scout cookie sales are finally over. I don't know yet if Emily has come close to her goal. We will get the numbers next week.
At work we are still testing (NMBSA test). Yes, for now I still have a job.
Better run.
Take care,

Spring Break
Spring Break is over. What did I do, you ask?
Get this guy and the rest of the Boy Scouts out of town. They spent Monday thru Saturday camping at the Grand Canyon. They had a good time.
Got to watch this girl warm up and play a full game. Her catching is improving every game. She plays first base. The team as a whole is getting better.
Watch this guy try to catch snow on his tounge. Our first real snow fall in Albq.

It did not last long. By noon it was all gone.
Also spent a lot of hours at Cookie booth sales for Girl Scouts. People are not buying cookies like in years past. So we are down in number of sales. Each girl was to sell 1000 boxes for their trip to Europe, Emily is at about 500. We still have 3 more booth sales this week and then its over till next year. Have to really sell for the Girl Scout candy/nut sales.
I did do some sewing. I need 2 button holes on a little dress I made. I also made a little purse out of a McCall's pattern. Why do I even try using McCall's, the instructions were all wrong and my purse came out a little funny, I need to do some tweaking. Will try to get to sewing on Thursday as this week is filled up with work, softball, cookie booths, and Cub Scouts.
Well, more later, I need to get to work. NMSBA testing starts this week so we are going to have a lot of stressed staff and kids.
Take care,
Erlinda

Sewing for the month
Here are the pictures of the sewing I did for the Homeless Shelter.
A Corduroy skirt size 6.
A elastic neck top, the sleeves have elastic on the top only. Size 6.
A pair of blue pants, size 6, with the top above.
These pillows were donated to the sewing group, all I did was put the stuffing and sew them closed.
Now, these two bears were made by Matthew. He makes them once in a while. I do the faces.
This past Tuesday I taught the Cub Scouts how to sew. We made bears to donate to the homeless. I only got 2 back. Matthew's and Tr....'s, the other boys wanted to keep their bears, so I let them.
That's all the sewing I have done. Hopefully, now for Spring Break I can get some time at the machine. It's 2 weeks till the next sewing meeting. The BH homeless shelter needs smaller sizes in clothing. That should take up a lot of my smaller pieces of donated fabric.

Weekend Happenings
Softball Game (We lost)
District Pinewood Derby. (did not place)
We also sold Girl Scout cookies in the snow today. Weather has been crazy. We had heavy snow flakes, sunshine, down poor and then a mixture of rain/snow that caused a white out. It has also been very cold.

Some Stitching
The past couple of weeks have been stressful at work. Sooo I have been stitching. I won't attempt to try and sew (cut) anything. This is what I have gotten done. Sorry, for some reason I can't flip the pictures. Oh well, you can still see them.
Ok, I know I need to learn to take better pictures and get software to clean them up. But, for now this is what I get.
Better scoot, I have to get Emily to a Softball game then its off to UNM with Cub Scouts and later Girl Scout cookie booth sales. Pictures tomorrow. Sewing on Monday, I am off work(I have a mental health day).

Finally snow
While in Taos, we got snow. Here in Albuquerque we have only gotten a dusting, not much to play in. Well, this is what we woke to on Sunday morning. It was beautiful. The kids got to make a snow man and half an igloo before we left. They got to see their cousins and play in the snow.
They had a great weekend.
They had a great weekend.
My father in-laws tractor under our swing set.
My pear tree and the cotton wood trees.
I came home early today, as Emily was not feeling well. I think I needed a break too. It was a beautiful, relaxing afternoon. I really wanted to sew, but house work and laundry got in the way. This is the only sewing I got done. It needed to be done. Now Emily's sash is ready for booth sales and Matt's bragging vest is ready for the Pack meetings.
