Pinewood Derby

Pinewood Derby was Saturday, its our 13th one. Matthew did not place to make it to district, first time in 13 years that we don't go. The two older boys always made it to district so did Matthew till this year. He is OK with it. He likes his car and got to use the tools by himself this year.

A Second Eagle Scout

Kevin had his Eagle Scout Board of Review last night and got all the signatures he needed for his Eagle.

So, now he is an Eagle Scout like his older brother:)

Popping in to say HI

Just stopped in to say HI. I have not sewn a single thing or even cut one pattern. My oldest left back to college last weekend and this week my youngest was sick with a cold . Which he has now pasted on to me.

The kids at work have also been so needy. Which in turn has made for a long week. I have a three day weekend and if I feel better than I do right now, I hope to get some sewing done. I have a new pattern I want to try and a winter quit top to put together.

My second son went camping this weekend with his Boy Scout troop, hoping he stays warm.

And its officialy Girl Scout cookie time (till the end of March). Em's goal is 1,500 boxes. Last year she sold a little over 1,000. What she makes goes toward her Europe trip.

Finished and other sewing

Here is some sewing I completed this weekend for the B.H. kids. 2 bears made by Matthew one hand sewed and one done on the machine. Four pairs of pajama pants and 4 t-shirts (purchased and a pieces of fabric sewed on) Matthew had a hand in the tops, cutting and placing the designs on. Two boy outfits and two girl outfits.

And, the quilt I started for DH (an year ago) is complete. I finished it New Year's Eve. Do not look closely I am not a quilter. I applaud all you quilters out there, this was hard. All the blocks are stitched by me and they are the months of the year.
