Some Stitching

The past couple of weeks have been stressful at work. Sooo I have been stitching. I won't attempt to try and sew (cut) anything. This is what I have gotten done. Sorry, for some reason I can't flip the pictures. Oh well, you can still see them.

Ok, I know I need to learn to take better pictures and get software to clean them up. But, for now this is what I get.
Better scoot, I have to get Emily to a Softball game then its off to UNM with Cub Scouts and later Girl Scout cookie booth sales. Pictures tomorrow. Sewing on Monday, I am off work(I have a mental health day).

Finally snow

While in Taos, we got snow. Here in Albuquerque we have only gotten a dusting, not much to play in. Well, this is what we woke to on Sunday morning. It was beautiful. The kids got to make a snow man and half an igloo before we left. They got to see their cousins and play in the snow.

They had a great weekend.

My pear tree.

Emily and Matt making their snow man. Matt is behind the tree.

My father in-laws tractor under our swing set.

My pear tree and the cotton wood trees.

I came home early today, as Emily was not feeling well. I think I needed a break too. It was a beautiful, relaxing afternoon. I really wanted to sew, but house work and laundry got in the way. This is the only sewing I got done. It needed to be done. Now Emily's sash is ready for booth sales and Matt's bragging vest is ready for the Pack meetings.

Take care,

Erlinda

No Sewing

Ugh. I have not been able to get to the sewing machine. I have been busy with work and kids. It has also been cold. I have several thing cut out, I just need to sit and sew.
Today we are off to Taos for a family gathering in honor of my dad. Today marks 2 years that he has been gone.
The above picture is of my kids. This was taken when Brian was leaving back to NMSU the weekend of Valentines.
Till next week.
Take care,
Erlinda

Long Stressfull week

It began with the son of my friend taking his own life. He was 19 and a 2009 graduate from Del Norte High School. He was also a friend of my son Brian. They had gifted, honors and AP classes together. He was a student at LSU, but had come home (reasons unknown). Reason Unknown on why he took his life. I know his mother through the church and CCD classes we both taught at. She is also a Sp. Ed. EA like me, so we have many training together. May peace come to this family.

Other news: No real sewing. I brought home some pillows someone had started and donated, and stuffed them. I also made two small teddy bears and have cut a top and pair of pant, but have not had time to sew them.

Emily's softball is taking up a lot of time. The driving around is getting to me and the season has not even started.

Matthew has been sick and this Saturday had a Lobo men's basketball game which was fun, and then on the same day his Blue and Gold for Scouts. He is now considered a Webelo Scout. Means he is growing up.

I will post pictures as soon as I down load them from Emily's camera.

Take care,

Erlinda

Its been a while

Wow! I can't believe its been a long time since I last posted.

We attended the Thunderbirds basketball game this pasted weekend. Matthew had won tickets for selling a lot of popcorn in Cub Scouts.
It was Boy/Scout night so Kevin and Matthew went down to do the opening ceremony.

The game was awesome. Boy, were these players tall.

Matthew got autographs from all the players. Number 50 gave Matthew his Gatorade and signed it for him. He was thrilled.

The only sewing I have done is a little skirt so I don't think I will be attending Sewing Club Saturday, as other things are pending.
Take Care,
Erlinda

Its getting cold

Here is a picture of the Sandia Mountains taken the end of January. We can't see the mountain today.

The weather changed from warm to cold. That meant the kids were wild at school. Right now its kind of raining and kind of snowing. The weather does not want to make up its mind. But, boy is it cold. I have to work tonight for our Superbowl Math night, not looking forward to that.

No sewing has been these past couple of weeks, I am having bad allergies. I just don't have the energy. I do have things cut up, hopefully I can get to them soon.
Take Care,
Erlinda
